Gratitude to Pete and Suzy for their skills and hard work and to all local color musicians

congratulations to each one of you on such concentrated effort and beautiful singing this morning.
I have not listened to the product any further but I know we have polished and finished material there; music that will match the pristine and ageless beauty in Trish's portrayal of Death Valley.

In conversation later today I came to the awareness that most of you don't realize that what you are doing in blending, singing a part rhythmically together, with diction and volume aligned and balancing all that with at least a dozen other voices, (without the support of acoustic or electronic support ) is very, very hard.
Particularly hard because it is never stabilized. You can't say "okay we got it now and forever more." It must be continually attempted and achieved.

It is for this that native Americans talk about walking in beauty - walking as the ultimate act of falling and catching ourselves again and again and again; keeping our own bodies and voices balanced within ourselves and in tune and harmony with the outside world and voices.

You will,hear me say to you the same things about singing many times, reminding you that our voices and our blend as one group must continually be re- established.

Finding that blend requires a delicate state of concentration and freedom. It demands focused dedication.
You did all that and more this morning.
